Mechanics Prototyping


Overview

Mechanics Prototyping is a Top-Down Tank Shooter designed to last around 5 – 8 minutes to complete. The Goal being to progress through strategic combat acquiring new and varied weapons, as you tackle environmental puzzles and vanquish a final ambush.

You play as a Sentinel tank stranded in an enemy prison camp tasked with escape through there teleportation terminal which happens to be heavily guarded so you must fight your way to the prison camp escape

Project Goals

  • Create a playable level using the Mechanic Prototyping Framework provided lasting between 5-10 minutes
  • Create a variety of varied combative enemies for the player to add strategic combat for the player
  • Create a shield defence system for the player as a way of making gameplay and combat feel more intuitive and thoughtful
  • Display skills in level design , environmental puzzles, combat design, mechanics design and pacing
  • Create a variety of weapons with different feels to allow the player to immerse themselves further writhe there unique play style
  • Create a variety of mechanics to expand my knowledge and learning in mechanics prototyping and design further
